“HK Typhoon Shelter” is a shelter for fishing boats during typhoons. Before 20th Century, there was a fairly large population of fishermen living on boats and developed a distinct Typhoon Shelter culture. In terms of food, they prepared and shared amongst themselves the remaining catch of the day. It then gradually attracted numerous local and overseas visitors and eventually evolved to be a unique Seafood Paradise. “Typhoon Shelter Crab” is the signature delicacy originated from the Typhoon Shelters.
